A new talent/project

So I was at my mom's work one day, 'Quilts Etc.', and saw this really awesome pattern for an apron. I really wanted one. At first I was hoping I could get my mom to just make one for me. But then we decided that I should try my hand at sewing again and make it myself. I was really nervous due to the last time I attempted to sew anything. That was 15 years ago when I was a sophomore in high school and was taking a clothing class. We made a pair of shorts and for those of you who have seen the movie "The Trouble with Angels" you know exactly how that project turned out. For you who have not seen the movie, 1, you need to see it, it is great! And 2, well, one leg was shorter than the other and the other leg was wider than the other. Disaster. I didn't get a very good grade in that class. So a few weeks ago, I found the material I wanted, and had my mom help me get started. It took a few weeks because I don't have a sewing machine, so I only could work on it when I had the time to go out to my parents' house and work on it. Well, I finally finished it on Saturday. It looks so good. I am so surprised with how easy it was and how well I did knowing my history with patterns and sewing machines. Now I just want to make more, it was a lot of fun being able to accomplish something like this and have it look so good. And I only had to unpick 3 times. Not too bad! Anyway, here is a picture of my finished apron. I can't wait to make more!
