2 months old!

On Friday the 26th of November, Elliot turned 2 months! Holy crap that went fast. But with turning 2 months came some stuff with it, that neither Elliot or I was happy with at all..... shots. Today we went to the doctor for his 2 months check-up. He is growing really well. His stats are now at:

Weight: 10 lbs 4 oz
Length: ~21 inches
(The length is from my own measuring, I didn't catch it at the dr.)

At birth he was:
                               Weight: 6 lbs 2.9 oz
                                Length: 19 inches

So he has grown quite a bit, and honestly he weighs more than I thought he would.

As for his shots, he, of course, did not like them at all! And really who would. He screamed like I've never seen or heard him scream before. Poor thing. I felt so bad that he was sad and hurting that I also began to cry. So tonight, he is getting plenty of loves and cuddle time with mommy! I can't believe he is 2 months old already! He is beginning to smile a lot (with the exception of today of course)! My brother even got him to giggle a little the other day! His hair is growing so fast, that I'm afraid he will need a haircut before too long. He still isn't sleeping through the night yet, but it is getting longer between feedings. So hopefully that will follow soon!

"My Lelliot"

Today my sister Janessa babysat Elliot. She has a 3 year old of her own, Xander. He is cute and playful. I love him to pieces (right behind my son of course). Xander is the first grandchild on my side of the family and when we found out we were going to have a baby, we wondered how Xander would deal with it. Would he be jealous that he wouldn't get all the attention to himself anymore? Would they get along well? The day Elliot was born Xander was at the hospital with my sister, but he couldn't come in the room and see me or the baby. But we had wanted to get Xander something from the new baby to help ease some of the possible jealous feelings (we also did this for our nephew Carson from Nate's side who is also the first grandchild). They both really like toy cars, so we got them each a pack of 4 cars. Nate took them out to the waiting room to give them to the boys and told them it was a gift from their new baby cousin, Elliot. They were so excited and loved them. They opened them right then and played with them in the hospital waiting room. Okay, now back to the original reason for this post. This morning when I dropped off Elliot I was greeted at the door by Xander. The following is the conversation that occured right when I got there:

Xander: Oh, it's my Lelliot! (This is how he says Elliot)
Me: Yes, Elliot is here to play with you.

I then proceed into the living room and place the car seat on the floor and raise up the cover. Xander kneels down in front of it looking at Elliot

Xander: Thank you

As I was leaving...

Me to Xander: Are you going to take good care of Elliot today?
Xander: Yeah!

I don't think I have to worry too much about jealousy issues. At least for right now. Xander adores his "Lelliot"! And I adore both of them!

These pics were taken the day after we came home from the hospital and Xander met Elliot for the first time!
