10 Months! :)

Elliot turned 10 months old on Tuesday July 26! I know I say this every time, but it is true, I can't believe it has been that long. Elliot's hair was getting so long and out of control, so I decided it was time for a true haircut and not just a trim. So on Monday we went and got it cut. He is so cute with the new look, but it was also a little sad. Watching all his beautiful red hair getting cut off and underneath it is BLONDE! What?! At least he still has a little bit of reddish tint to his hair on top. His hair was so long on top and with his double cowlick he has on the back of his head, it made him look like he was sporting a "comb-over" lol! He doesn't look like a little baby anymore, now he looks like a little boy. A very cute one at that too! He is getting closer and closer to attempting to take those first steps on his own. He will now let go of things while standing and is able to stand on his own for a bit. He did attempt to take a step the other day. He took one step on his own, but than as he tried to step with his other foot, he fell. I am a little concerned about his feet though, especially his left foot, it still curves in a lot. Some people have told me that it will straighten out once he starts walking more, and some people who have noticed it tell me I need to ask his doctor about it and will probably need therapy or a brace or something. I'm not sure which one is right. So for now I think I will keep on eye on his feet, and ask the doctor about it at his 1 year appointment. Which is only in 2 months!!!! Aahh! Why does he have to grow so fast? We also found out about a month ago that he is allergic to dairy and soy. The doctor still doesn't know if it is an allergy he will grow out of or not. But that explains why he would throw up every formula I would try and also why he would throw up after I would feed him yogurt. Now I have to pay close attention to the ingredients of everything I feed him. I hope it is something he will grow out of, dairy and soy are in A LOT of foods.

He is getting so big! I remember cutting Jacob's hair the first time. He was 16 months old! :) You're little guy has tons of hair! I was sad to do it too. All those little curls he had are gone for good!

As for the dairy, I was very allergic to it as a baby as well. I was put on soy but even then I always had stomach troubles (I'm not allergic, but just a little sensitive to the soy). I have found that I don't have to avoid dairy entirely. But I haven't been able to drink a plain old glass of milk since I was eight. Hopefully he will outgrow it though!
